The Swissmem industry sector “Medical Manufacturing” is dedicated to themanufacturing challenges in the production of medical technology components such as implants, ​instruments and appliances. Swiss industry is excellently positioned in this area thanks to its outstanding expertise in manufacturing technology. This is impressively demonstrated by the successes in this sector, as well as in precision mechanics and the watch industry.

This manufacturing expertise forms a central basis for innovation and makes a significant contribution to safeguarding the manufacturing industry in Switzerland. New manufacturing technologies, process innovations, automation and digitalization play a key role here.​

The “Advanced Manufacturing in Medical Manufacturing” event offers insights into the current possibilities of additive manufacturing of medical products and the associated challenges. In addition to innovative approaches in additive manufacturing, classic machining processes will also be examined and their potential for MedTech products will also be addressed. It also shows how complete manufacturing value chains can be successfully operated in Switzerland.​

With this event, the Swissmem industry sector invites companies in the medical technology medical technology manufacturing industry. Members of the “Swiss Additive Manufacturing Group” (SAMG) are invited as-well as far as there is enough place.
