Mission Statement

Discussion platform for additive manufacturing processes

The Swiss Additive Manufacturing Group (SAMG) brings together companies in the additive manufacturing field operating as developers, planners, manufacturers, suppliers, outfitters or service providers, or in engineering.

The SAMG consolidates and coordinates the common interests of its members. It promotes the use and further development of additive manufacturing processes and supports training and development in this discipline. Its aim is to enhance the importance of additive manufacturing techniques and to strengthen Swiss industry's future viability and competitiveness. The SAMG represents its members’ interests vis-à-vis the academic and political worlds and in the field of international legislation and standardization.

Securing the connection to the national and international research network and providing an overview of current research topics.
Providing an overview of current training and development opportunities.
Providing an overview and support in the development of training and further education offers in the field of AM.
International exchange on research and project partners, standardization bodies and legislation.
Evaluations concerning relevant materials (synthetic, metal, ceramic and special materials).
Providing an overview of the AM benchmark and strategic partnerships with regard to crossovers from research to industry.
